Spawn-Captain Yara

Yara was decanted in a war-batch of two hundred and forty, sister-spawn for skirmisher duty during an older Necro escalation. Three days later an aestheticist auditor found a contaminant strain from an unauthorized Verdant Office side-project in the tank. The spawn were not malformed and not weak. They were not pure, by the audit, and the audit was final.

Most of the batch were culled. A few were quietly handed to fleets that did not ask questions. Yara was one. Ninety years of watching sister-spawn die in engagements the Collective does not record them as having flown. The last of the others fell years ago. The Disowned Batch carries grafted tissue from each of them, a memorial Yara is not technically allowed to keep. The Collective has never wanted this ship. A polite ask is enough.
