An Amir-of-Ten commands ten. Ten hands, sometimes ten ships, never more, and never fewer if the Amir can help it. It is the smallest command in the Company and the closest. An Amir-of-Ten knows every name, every debt and every grudge among the ten, and settles the grudges before they reach the Profos. The ten fight for each other. That is the whole point of the rank.
