Chosen Captain
An Ataman is a captain chosen by the crews. They answer to those crews first and to the Company second, and every crew knows it. An Ataman's banner is loud, fast and hard to keep in formation, and it will follow its Ataman anywhere the pay is good. When the crews stop believing, they choose someone else. Nobody is surprised, least of all the Ataman.
