Corporal
The Caporale carries orders down the line and complaints back up it. Each one keeps a small crew of hands in order: fed, armed, sober enough, and where they are supposed to be. It is the rank where most Blades stop, and most of them are happy there. The pay is steady, the hours are terrible, and the danger is someone else's idea. A Caporale who wants more has to ask a Weibel.
