Paymaster
The Jamadar keeps the banner's books. Every share, every fine and every advance on next month's wage goes through the Jamadar's ledger, and every Blade in the banner checks that ledger the day pay arrives. A Jamadar with honest books is the most popular person aboard. A Jamadar with dishonest ones is reported to the Profos, and then is not aboard.
